Not sure how this site works but here goes!  When water temps. are given on the TV fishing shows at what depth are the temps. stated taken?  Is it the level they caught the fish or the surface temp. or what?

The temperature is surface level.

The temps are always surface but they do make a gadjet I have 2. Called the Color-C-Lector that will tell you temps at any depth you wish.
