BOATS UNLIMITED NC TEAM TOURNAMENT BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #2 RESULTS

62 teams showed up for the 2nd qualifying tournament of the 2013 Boats Unlimited NC Team Tournament Bass Trail. The weather finally stabilized a little and we had a right decent day. 33 degrees in the morning and about 43 for the rest of the day with no wind in the am and 5 to 10 mph in the pm. It was still a cold day but the anglers held strong!

Erik Ross & Les Walters of Fayetteville took 1st place honors with 5 bass weighing 25.41 lbs. They won the 1st place money, 1st place big fish and the BOATS UNLIMITED NC 1st place $1,000 bonus for a grand total of $3,030. Jesse & Josh Wise of Erwin won 2nd place (13.60 lbs.) for a total of $645. 3rd Place took home some good money too! Steve Bishop & Robin Bowen of Goldsboro & Snow Hill landed only 12.95 lbs taking 3rd, won the 1st place TWT worth $1,330 and had the 2nd place big fish for a grand total of $2,235!

73 fish were weighed in for a total weight of 242 pounds. Most fish were caught from 3 to 20 feet of water on a variety of baits including jerk baits, Senkos, big plastic worms, jigs, spoons & crankbaits for the most part. The hot baits for the day reported to be spoons & jigs! Water temps were around 43 degrees. I want to thank all the anglers that participated and that support this trail.
