I will be fishing a couple tournaments on Kentucky Lake between May 7th and 10th.  I have never been to that part of the country fishing before and would be grateful for any information.  The most important part for me would be, what stage of the spawn is the bass usually in around that time?  Any info would be Greatly appreciated.

Watch the weather and water levels.  Last couple of years floods have really messed up the spawn.  If you have GPS get a chip for the lake.  Advice will depend on what area you plan on fishing as its a BIG LAKE.

Always search out Dave Stewarts fishing reports before you hit the lower end if that's where you are coming.  He makes regular post and guides daily.

Thanks for the advice.  We do have chips for all of the units.  I will look into Dave Stewarts fishing reports.  Is there any parts of the lake that tend to hold larger fish? I don't mind making long runs if needed.  We will be launching from Paris Landing.  Thanks again.

From Paris in the spring most are going to head for New Johnsonville.  That's the first place you'll find any grass.

Early May the bass havent made it to the ledges yet. You can find them on shallow points or by flipping brush
