Hunter is a 9-year-old boy from Hayden, AL who LOVES to fish and play sports!

After going to the emergency room for a headache on New Years Eve of 2011, an MRI revealed that Hunter had amalignant brain tumor and lesions on his spine. He was diagnosed with high risk medulloblastoma and, on January 3, 2012, surgery was performed to remove the tumor. He is currently undergoing treatment, including chemo and radiation, and will continue to do so for the remainder of the year.

Having a child suffering from any kind of cancer is every parent’s worse nightmare. Despite this fact, his parents (Scott & Jeana), along with his older brother (Micah), are constantly encouraging and uplifting Hunter. They (and we) know that we serve an AWESOME God – The Great Physician!

We know that the Alexander family has been riding on an emotional roller coaster for the past several months, but we’ve also recently come to realize the financial toll that this has taken on them. Faith Fishing for Hunter will provide a way for anyone to join in and lift this family up during a very trying time in their lives.
