Gerald Swindle says it could be worse. Flood warnings that resulted from torrential downpours in Shreveport’s Red River region this past Saturday morning have not turned Bassmaster Classic waters to looking like chocolate milk. And, as far as he knows, his ribs aren’t broken following a missed step in rubber boots that sent his 6-foot, 4-inch frame slamming into his Triton’s fiberglass gunnel wall during a rainy practice day earlier this week.
Tica Ceto
Got to try out Tica Ceto HA, and boy was I impressed. I tryed out the HA100L with a ratio of 4.2:1 great for cranks and the other reel was the HA101H with a gear ratio of 6.2:1, it was a left hand version I flipped and pitched with it. Both reels were super smoth, casted with ease and super smoth drag.
Tharp picks up the win on Lake Okeechobee, winning by 23.09 pounds. The Everstart pro flipped a Bitters’s Best Value BFM (Bigger Fatter Muskrat) a beaver style bait in black and blue. He would rig it using a 1 1/2-2 oz tungsten weight using 70 pound Diawa Samurai braid and 7’11″ Halo Twilight Series rod. He brought home $125,000 for the victory.
